Lifesaving Care for Little Bat

December 29, 2023

Little Bat was brought in as a stray from the community. It was obvious that he had been suffering for a very long time and was in a critical state. His ribs, hips, and spine were clearly visible, he was covered in fleas, and he had pressure sores on his legs.

Little Bat was immediately examined by our medical team. Weighing only 24 pounds, he was nearly half the weight he should be. But despite his condition, this resilient dog’s trust in our team was inspiring.

His body wiggled with excitement as our team carefully examined him – he enthusiastically pursued face kisses and his tail never stopped wagging. Little Bat was far sweeter than could be expected of any animal in his condition. The cruelty and neglect he had experienced had not crushed his spirit nor his desire to connect with people.

Thanks to compassionate donors like you, we were able to provide the medical attention Little Bat so desperately needed. Your support provides lifesaving care, shelter, healthy food, and a second chance for pets in our community every day.

Little Bat began his long road to recovery. He was monitored every day to ensure he was eating, and he began to gain weight. He was placed in an experienced foster home where he received the support he needed and the compassion and love he deserved. And this holiday season, Little Bat received the gift of a loving home when he was adopted by his foster.

Your generosity enabled the care and support Little Bat needed. But there are more pets like him that need your help. Please donate today to help ensure pets in our community have the lifesaving care they need and the loving homes they deserve.
